My family has holiday traditions on every holiday throughout the year. All of our family, Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and even those friends who are considered family all gather in one house and watch whatever sport is on TV, visit with each other and have a big dinner. The most memorable tradition i have with my family is during winter. It doesn’t happen every year, but when it snows enough for the schools to close I end up staying home with them. The kids and I pull out the gloves, hats and snow pants and head outside to play. We sled, build the best snowman in the neighborhood and make snow angels. By the end of the day we are involved in an entire neighborhood snow fight. After hours out in the snow our hands and feet become numb and ears feel like icicles, so we pack up the sleds, stomp off the snow and leave our outerwear at the door. I make everyone a big cup of homemade Peppermint hot chocolate with mini marshmallows and we sip on it as we defrost. We spend the rest of the day playing board games and hanging out as a family. I enjoy winter time the most out of all of the seasons. Every time I have a cup of peppermint hot chocolate when it’s not snowing outside, I’m reminded of the happy memories we have when it snows.
